Katy Texas

Katy is actually smaller compared to the other cities in Texas. It only has a land area of 27.6 square kilometers serving as the home to 15,753 residents by now. The city’s name is taken from the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad commonly called as Katy Railroad that traverses across the city in 19th century. However, Katy was originally known as Cane Island from a famous creek in the area. Katy is covered by the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area. Although a small and insular city in Texas, Katy is blessed with magnificent natural sceneries. For instance, a residential community created in Katy, the Wood Creek Reserve, captivates the heart by its magnificent and unique landscape. Aside from the fascinating view, Katy is also equipped with complete amenities for the family lifestyle. The extensive Katy Mills Mall rules the market and leisure needs of the community. A number of manufacturers and retailers exhibit their products in the mall and sophisticated entertainment facilities are featured for that memorable family outing. Katy is also visited for its rare historical attractions such as the Chinese Museum and the Forbidden Gardens.
